Sometimes (album cover design)

I had the wonderful opportunity to design an album cover for local songwriter/ musician Brian Wilcox. It’s fantastic that vinyl has made a comeback – I didn’t think I would get to design for this format.

Brian had clear ideas about what he wanted and a great selection of photography for his cover art. He loves writing by hand and wanted his lyrics written out across the back no matter the flaws which come from fitting that to a set shape. All beautifully human and authentic like his songs.

I also ended up creating a font based on Brian’s handwriting for other parts of the design so we had some flexibility. An elegant piece of design.
